Wandering Feet

Spent most of the day trying to study and failing, trying to correct some work and failing, and looking at dresses for grad ball (not mine, the one that’s happening this year that I’m going to crash).

In this process Me and Nat decided we want to do ski seasons, I’m so good at delaying my life, I really need someone to tell me what to do, or just give me a job and tell me to do it, otherwise I’ma spend my life experiencing the phenomenon known as…

Wanderlust:

‘Wanderlust is a strong desire for or impulse to wander or travel and explore the world’

I know it’s not a bad thing but if someone doesn’t tie me down I’m going to wander around doing random things forever. It’s ok up until a certain point, and I’m already 2 years out down the road…

However as mum said, if I don’t do the fun stuff now, I can’t do it in five years (because I’ll be pushing 28), so I have to do it now. Great advice.

On a positive note, I’ve booked the hotel for Marrakech, and it looks awesome:

I have ALSO established that the best muffin in Starbucks in Spain is Strawberry and White Chocolate, in the UK I would say it was Skinny Blueberry but it’s not on the menu here.

Enough of my waffle, good night, it’s Monday tomorrow (daaaamnit)

Productivity

Woke up fresh freshhhh it’s been a while since I felt like this on a Saturday morning, so I’ve tidied my life, been to the gym, showered, done some work and been all round good!

In funnier news, Nat has just come in to my room after getting in at 7:30 (impressive effort) and she is entertaining me with her semi-pickled, semi-narcoleptic state, she’s currently in my bed, loving life!

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend!!

Just cooked the best meal I’ve ever made, involving €60 veal chops and some incredible housewife skills (definitely didn’t buy the chops ourselves, that’s pretty much the weekly budget!)
Basically, last weekend the chefs from the yacht decided to gift me loads of really pricy veal, really random. Anyway me and Nat had a friday night feast and it was amazing. We literally nearly cried. I accompanied the veal with red wine and mushroom sauce, saute potatoes and asparagus, and a nice Rioja. So grown up!!

Celebrating coursework hand in with a healthy treat… (at Häagen-Dazs)
Handed in our final politics essay today which was 30%, so a bit of light relief.
I had salted caramel and belgian chocolate ice cream on a waffle, as you can see, and it was the most amazing thing in the world EXCEPT my body isn’t really used to sugar and it was so unhappy with me, I had to go home because I thought I was going to be sick. Good one, you try to treat yourself but NO. Body says no.
I guess it’s probably a good thing…

Nooooooooooooooooooo!! Cheers easyjet for this BLEAK reminder that I only have 6 weeks left in Spain…
I am gutted that this time is coming to an end, especially that five of my six weeks will be spent doing exams and handing in coursework, not exactly the dream, however those final six days will be magical!!
On the plus side, me and Rieko are going to Marrakech 11th-15th June to do revision and some cultural exploration. I’ve been before but it was really cool so I’m so excited to go back!
Good times!

Today I spent €38 on a iPod charger when I already have one, that’s a ten year supply of toothbrushes!

Crazay

Also, a really mental woman walked past me earlier, she was chatting to herself which isn’t actually that weird around here as there are loads of crazies.

However we were in the middle of Plaza de la Reina and she literally stopped dead, and then started to be a chicken.

I felt awkward.

Attessa Take 2

Quick catch up on the week!!

Thursday night Charly and I tried a restaurant we hadn’t been before called Moma, and it was amazing. We ate the worlds biggest steaks that were SO tasty!! Then went home and fell into a red wine induced food coma…

Friday I studied like a good girl, and then Charly, Anna, Jasmin and her best friend from home Sveta, Stefan and Jonas headed down to the port to see Ruben and his ship filled with Merry Men (the Attessa - it’s the most amazing superyacht that I aim to buy with what I have saved in my piggy bank…).

So the BBQ started off so chilled, I caught up with some of the crew that I met last time and was chatting to the new lot! We had some BBQ food which was SO yum and some drinks while the sun was setting, and the music was playing and it was the most CHILLED VIBE EVER.

Then later on the vodka and ice tea came out which was a massive game changer…

So Charly, Ruben, Steve, Stephan, Chris, Liam and I decided to go out (funniest bunch ever). First up we got totally split up from taxis and couldn’t find each other and no one had phones or each other numbers (not necessary as they all live on a boat together). So I sent Stephan an email (thinking this was the best idea ever) and he’d already sent me an email with their location. This was hilarious as it is the most unlikely and ridiculous method of communication and it totally worked. Geography degree, totally logical thinker me…

Anyway so we had a drink in this little spanish place called La Taberna where the most taxing issue was trying to explain to Liam that we didn’t smoke, he just could not get his head around it.

Then we ended up in this bar called 48, where everyone was very glam and Spanish and we were all smashed…and foreign. It was hilarious, we had beers and SO MANY TEQUILAS and sangria. I was dying laughing because Stephan was trying to pour sangria in glasses and didn’t realise it was going all over the floor, Charly had issues with literal constant hiccups which was hilarious, Steve was basically passed out and Chris was firing out the dance moves. Steve did some mental dance move and threw my sangria at me by accident but I dodged it and it just soaked my hair, which I got over surprisingly quickly considering the situation…

At some point Charly smashed her glass and there was Sangria everywhere, also Steve was so drunk he handed everyone empty shot glasses to drink not realising they’d already been drunk. That was quite funny.

Somehow we ended up outside buying all the merchandise from a looky looky man, Chris bought me two roses and a hat (because I’m a top girl and deserve all the roses but he didn’t have enough change - haha nice guy) and himself a hat and some massive glasses all for like 3 euros, I felt so bad for the guy BUT the others saw all our stuff so then everyone ended up with a hat, Ruben also had a fairy wand… So we probably fed the dudes family for a month!! Then we all went to Ciutat de las Artes e Ciencias.

This was SUCH a funny walk, we reached the river and me, being sensible went to walk over the bridge that was literally 20 metres from everyone else, the boys and Charly however literally just walked through the river. I was crying with laughter, Charly literally just went whoooosh and waded through!! Hahaha god it still makes me die now!! Charly’s excuse to me today was that she thought it was just surface water - she didn’t realise it was a full on river!! Hahaha.

Then we had fun walking in the water in the science park, it was hilarious seeing grown men wading around, like animals.

We tried to get into Mya but the boys were wearing flip flops so that didn’t happen, we got taxis to the centre and then eventually all lost each other through a series of unfortunate events however by this point I didn’t really mind, the night was amazing and absolutely hilarious and SO random!

Winner.

No more fun for me though, that was not supposed to happen and now I’m so behind on my strict study schedule damn it!

There’s a jazz festival in the park outside my room and the music is great but it’s really distracting me from my work! I sunbathed on my sofa and enjoyed it for a while earlier, so great!

Anyway, off to the gym and then back to the grind…

Hope everyone’s having a lovely weekend :D
